On 17 December, Action Education Switzerland took to the streets of Geneva for the first time, organising an awareness-raising day at the Rues Basses on Place du Molard. The aim was to talk to passers-by about one of the key issues in our mission: the need to protect children from violence. right to education all over the world.
Set up in the heart of the city, our team welcomed people who were curious to learn more about our actions and projects in favour of education and international solidarity. The discussions were simple and friendly, and continued over hot chocolate, encouraging rich exchanges accessible to all.

A first field mission for Action Education Switzerland volunteers
The day also marked an important milestone for our organisation in Switzerland: it was the first direct contact with the public for our team of volunteers. Their commitment and enthusiasm enabled them to run the stand, present our activities and talk to the many people who came to meet us.
As well as raising awareness, this presence on the ground is an essential step in raising the profile of Action Education in Switzerland, creating links with the local public and highlighting the importance of the right to education as a major lever for social change.
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat with us, and to our volunteers for their invaluable contribution to this first initiative.
