The history of Action Education Switzerland
The Swiss history of Action Education is intrinsically linked to that of communities, children and adults who are vulnerable and excluded, faced with exclusion and deprived of access to education, whose future seemed compromised.
The original association dates back to 1981. In 2002, the Swiss association was formed. Since 2002, millions of people have been supported by our teams, progressing along the path to development and now mastering reading, writing and mathematics.
In the space of twenty years, entire lives have been radically changed.

I joined Action Education because I am convinced that guaranteeing education for all vulnerable populations is an absolute emergency. It is a weapon against violations of fundamental rights. And our programmesMy aim is to enable the most vulnerable to become self-sufficient, to have the tools to defend their rights and to become active players in their own development to build a fairer, more sustainable world.
