Testimonials from our teams
I joined Action Education in 2014, with a wealth of experience in educating young people and adults through literacy programmes. Aware of the devastating impact of illiteracy on personal and economic development, I wanted to act at source by focusing on education. It's a source of great pride for me to see thousands of children being educated and flourishing, and women being strengthened economically as a result of our various initiatives. It's this success that motivates me to persevere and help change the world through education.
I lead a team that helps children affected by internal migration, providing them with education, healthcare, food security and protection. Since 2010, we have supported 40,000 children across India. We conduct research into distress, forced and climatic migration, and work to influence public policy with legislators. Working with the government, UN agencies, academic institutions and NGOs, we strive to improve the lives of migrant families.
